Frequently asked questions
Which image formats and sizes are supported?
You can upload JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 22MB and 50 megapixels. The maximum output resolution is also subject to Remove.bg service limits.
Do you store my images?
No. This site does not use a database or object storage to retain your images. Your file passes briefly through a Cloudflare Worker over an encrypted connection and is sent to Remove.bg for processing. We do not keep a copy afterward.
Can I download a white or custom-color background?
Yes. After removal, choose transparent, white, black, light blue, or any custom solid color. Download a PNG, or choose JPG when using a solid background.
Why can the subject sometimes not be detected?
Detection is harder when the subject is small, blurry, low-contrast, or has many translucent edges. For best results, use a well-lit image with a clear subject that stands out from the background.
